The Barrington Backplate is produced in solid zinc alloy with a die-cast construction that holds tight tolerances across its knurled surface. The ribbed profile is machined to a consistent depth, giving each finish — from the warm oxidised character of Bronze to the hard-edged clarity of Matt Black — a tactile quality that reads as intentional rather than decorative. It functions as a visual anchor point on flat-front and shaker-profile doors alike, framing the handle or knob without competing with it.
The Barrington Backplate suits flat-front handleless cabinetry where a backplate provides the only surface relief, as well as shaker doors where the ribbed texture echoes the frame geometry. In darker palettes — charcoal, deep navy, or blackened timber — the Bronze and Dark Brushed Brass finishes read as warm counterpoints. Matt Black and Polished Nickel work cleanly against white lacquer and light stone benchtops.
